JASPER

Our dear friends Michelle and Kurt had their first baby, Jasper, this fall.  It was so fortunate to be able to  go through this milestone of being pregnant around the same time as Michelle and to be able to share all the good and the bad that comes with being pregnant.  Now that their gorgeous baby is out in the real world Ray and I can't wait to be on the other side as well.  Their little family is doing so well!

40 WEEKS

...it'll be a while till we can have brunch together, crammed at a table for two in tight, compact spaces...enjoying every moment @ Grapefruit Moon before two becomes three.

Istanbul . Turkey . Part II

Kevin and Zeynep tied the knot in Istanbul this spring and I was lucky enough to be able to celebrate with them. Getting married by the sea, with the gorgeous mediterranean sunshine pouring over us - it just doesn't get sweeter than this. May the sun always shine on you both - congratulations Kevin and Zeynep!

ISTANBUL

Istanbul. Turkey . Part I

This past spring, V. and I were supposed to travel to Istanbul together but unfortunately, our plans changed when we found out she was pregnant and the little one, while brewing inside, started to make her tummy turn!  We were about to cancel the trip entirely but V. insisted that I go.  In turn, I promised that we'd make it back there together one day with the little one in tow.  

I had lived in Istanbul for a few months as a student studying architecture abroad - that was about 14 years ago!  It was incredible to return and see just how much the city changed.
